Exciting and new

Well... Hasn't this been a busy few months!

So aprox two months ago i applied for a job as a Marketing Assistant for a college. Its been a long process that has had a lot of stop/start moments, but finally i shall be starting my new position next Wednesday.
I have to admit, i am very excited as i love new challenges but i am also very scared!!
I have worked in my current job for four years now and i'll be honest, they are rather lapsidaisicle about a lot of things. Therefore i feel as though i am starting from scratch with no experience of the working world at all. To add to this, i shall also be doing a college course. Its only one day a week for a year but even so. A new 'proper' job and going back to college!! What was i thinking!

So on my penultimate day at my current job i got to thinking what i have to look forward to as 2012 finishes....

At the weekend i baked my 1st Christmas cake! It is now been fed with brandy every week until i am ready to decorate it. Which is the 2nd fun part!

I think i am going to opt for a simple design like the Holy Leaves.

Tonight i am going, with my girlfriends and my Dolly to see Twilight. I am excited for this and before you ask, i dont know if I am Team Edward or Team Jacob.
I read all the books first and over time have grown to love the films (i have a major issue with books to movies and how badly they are done and how horrific the actors are they choose to play the characters!)
So tonight we shall go to dinner and then embrace our inner Vampire!

Team Jacob or Team Edward?

This weekend i am going out with my sister, she is younger than me and i dont think we have ever been out, just the two of us before. So, that is exciting in itself, but what is more exciting is that we are going to see Professor Green... I have an actual school girl crush on him!!

Dont as what it is, he's just lush!

This leads me to Wednesday... My First Day!

Since my new job is full time, something else which is new to me as i haven't worked full time in 13 years since Dolly was born, i have had to go the majority of my Christmas shopping already. So comes the next bit... The wrapping. Now i usually get excited about this but as time goes on i am realising that all it causes me is a bad back and mess. Alas, it cannot be avoided and the end result is always a joy!

The best feeling is giving.

Then comes the decorating of the tree. Every year i want a real tree but i am such a perfectionist i fear that once the netting is taken off i am left with a sparce, un even, wonky attempt at a tree. I do however this year need a new fake tree... So the search begins for a full and fabulous fir!

I wish my house looked like this!

And so comes the Christmas parties, the get togethers. The practice run of eating, drinking and being merry!!
As i will have only left my job for three weeks and i organised our Christmas party, i still get the pleasure of attending!

Fun times

Last but not least Christmas day...
This year my family will be coming to me and i am so excited to get my 'cook on!'

YUMMY!!!

So, if i dont get chance (because my new job will be so busy!)

Merry Christmas to everyone
May 2013 be happy and filled with love and laughter
